GJLF Expo – Georgia Junior Livestock Foundation

We are thrilled to announce that GJLF will host the 2024 GJLF Expo, Dec. 12-15, 2024, in Perry, Ga. The show is a multi-species show for cattle, swine, breeding ewes, breeding does and commercial dairy heifers. The Expo will be open to exhibitors across the country. Please be sure to read ALL instructions when registering for the show. Important items to note…..

1) Showmanship is an “add on” purchase. Meaning, you need to select that your child will be participating in showmanship at the show for them to have the opportunity to compete in this event. It is a $10 showmanship fee, BUT 100% of the proceeds will be given back to the exhibitors in payouts during this event.

2) Pens for small animals (ex. pigs, lambs, goats) are an additional “add on” as well. You will need to make sure you have these added when you register your animals and before checking out!!

3) We have some COOL Expo merchandise this year!! This is on a pre-order basis only, so before checking out, please be sure to add items for everyone in the family! We will not be selling each item at the event, so be sure to plan ahead.

4) Make sure to register by December 1, 2024!!

2024 GJLF Expo Partnership Packages

The Board has never wavered, and won’t going forward, from its mission of supporting the youth livestock program in the State of Georgia. To further these efforts and reach the goal of doing more for our youth, the Foundation is continuing the GJLF Expo Livestock Show! The GJLF Expo is a continued effort of the Jackson County Young Farmers Association Showring Showdown that was started many years ago with a swine show and eventually grew to a swine and cattle show. The Foundation took over the show in 2022 as a fundraising effort and found much interest in holding a multi-species event that would encompass the interest of all junior livestock exhibitors. The GJLF Board has been working hard in planning the 2024 Expo and we are excited about the opportunities for this event as it grows. We hope you will continue your partnership with the Foundation, perhaps in an expanded way!
